The game is being held at the Burnley Training Centre (Barnfield). United's team is likely to be largely comprised of youth team players. United had been due to face Morecambe in the competition last Tuesday but that game did not take place, with the Blues in FA Youth Cup first round action against Altrincham two days later. Youth team players who figured in the Blackburn game included Freddie O'Donoghue, Dan Hopper and Hayden Atkinson. For Andy Farrell's Burnley it is their first game in a Central League Cup group that also includes Barrow.
