KOTA KINABALU: A gang of tech savvy car thieves have been busted following a series of thefts amounting to about RM1mil around the city over the past few weeks. “These suspects use a computerised system to hack into a vehicle's lock system to disable its lock and alarm to steal a car,” he said at a press conference here Monday (May 27). He said their arrest came following a report on May 16 where a woman reported that her car was missing from the Likas Women and Children’s Hospital parking lot. “The victim posted a picture of her missing car on social media while we tracked down the suspect,” he said.
