Police were lead on a pursuit that lasted 45 minutes around the Hauraki Plains area (file photo)A person was car-jacked during a police pursuit in the Waikato. The incident began when police noticed a stolen vehicle in Ngatea area at around 4.30pm on Tuesday. Police signalled for the vehicle to stop but it fled, a police spokeswoman said in a statement. As police were attempting to relocate the vehicle the occupants dumped their original vehicle and stole another vehicle off a member of the public, who police say was uninjured. "That vehicle was then located at around 5.15pm in the Hauraki area."
