Car goes off road in Whiritoa, CoromandelGOOGLE MAPS Two were injured when the car left State Highway 25 south of Whangamata. A car has gone off the road in the Coromandel coastal town of Whiritoa, injuring the occupants, one seriously. St John ambulance said it was called to the scene on State Highway 25 south of Whangamata about 9am. She said the car had gone down a bank on the Waihi-Whangamata Road. One lane of the road is closed and officers are directing traffic at the scene, she said.
