Robert O’Leary had denied membership of an unlawful organisation on August 20 last year. Mr Justice Tony Hunt told the Special Criminal Court yesterday that the Skoda Octavia had been used to survey the area around the PSNI officer’s home in Belfast and stopped near by for three minutes while the device was planted under his car. The judge said the accused had invented a purchaser for the Skoda to break the link with him. O’Leary, 42, of Clancy Road, Finglas, Dublin, described himself as a “bit of an Arthur Daley”, in reference to the lead character
