Car crashes into concrete barrier on SH2 near PetoneSUPPLIED A car has hit a concrete barrier on State Highway 2 between Wellington and Lower Hutt, blocking the northbound lane. A car has crashed into and broken a concrete median barrier separating traffic on State Highway 2 between Wellington and Lower Hutt. The white station-wagon was travelling north from Wellington and hit the barrier just south of Petone, Lower Hutt, on Friday, shortly before 7am. Police said it appeared the car had bags of plaster in the car, which had come out over the road. Debris from the median barrier were forced into one of the lanes on the other side of the motorway.
