Eleven people were killed and nine others were injured on Friday evening during a collision between a pickup truck carrying quarry workers and a truck on the Eastern Desert Road in Minya Governorate, Upper Egypt. Authorities received a report of the accident from the emergency operations room, and 11 ambulances, along with security personnel, were immediately dispatched to the scene. The injured were transported to Minya Chest Hospital for treatment, and the bodies were taken to the hospital morgue. A report was filed and the Public Prosecution was notified to begin its investigations.
