A 16-year-old youth was unharmed when the car he was driving crashed into a power pole on Wai-iti Rd, near Chateau Cl, on Sunday morning. Emergency services were called to the crash about 6.30am and arrived to find the power lines had been brought down but no injuries were reported, a police spokesman said. “The youth said he fell asleep at the wheel,” he said. “Enquiries are ongoing.”Netcon were on site to repair the damage shortly after the crash was reported.
