A mother and two children were in a car in which a person was critically injured after a collision with a train in the Bay of Plenty on Friday morning. Police were called just after 8.30amA St John spokeswoman said that one person was critically injured, two people moderately injured and another had minor injuries. Kiwirail chief line officer Henare Clarke said the key message here was to remind people to look both ways for trains when crossing the rails. Train services have been halted on the line while investigations continue and the train is checked for damage.
