Capital admin confiscates banned outfits’ seminaries as Afridi vows to follow NAP


ISLAMABAD: The district government of Islamabad Wednesday, upon the directives of the federal government, confiscated madrassas and mosques which were being operated by the religious outfits banned under the National Action Plan (NAP). Reportedly, Masjid Quba, Madni Masjid, Ali Asghar Masjid, Madrassah Khalid bin Waleed and Madrassah Zi-ul-Quran have been taken into state control by the district administration. Earlier, Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi vowed that action against organisations, prescribed under NAP, will be continued till “achievement of objectives”. “Operation against proscribed organisations as per National Action Plan 2014 (NAP) shall continue till achievement of objectives.
