The Vancouver Canucks cut four more players on Friday, putting them closer to the final list of 23 players who will make up the team’s opening-night roster for 2019-20. He also scored a goal in Thursday night’s pre-season-closing game, a 4-2 loss to the Arizona Coyotes. The Canucks now have 17 forwards — including Antoine Roussel, who will start the year on injured reserve — nine defencemen and two goalies. If all three start the year on injured reserve, the Canucks would only have to make one cut, likely one of defenceman Guillaume Brisebois, centre Adam Gaudette or winger Nikolay Goldobin.
