Canterbury family survive carbon monoxide poisoningSIMON MAUDE/FAIRFAX NZ A Pegasus family had a lucky escape after carbon monoxide from a generator seeped into their home. A family were close to death after being struck down by accidental carbon monoxide poisoning in their home. He hoped the accidental poisoning would serve as a reminder of the danger of carbon monoxide. He had placed items against the door to stop them opening, he said, however the carbon monoxide was still able to seep into the house. Leads from the generator ran through a gap in the garage door and through a gap in an interior door.
