Christchurch couple Chelsea Cope and Jason Smith were surprised by home builder Marty Murchsion this week when they were told they had won a free mortgage for a year. Young Canterbury entrepreneur Marty Murchison made the headlines last month with his offer to fund a first-home owner's mortgage for a year. Jason Smith, 23, and Chelsea Cope, 22's free mortgage from home builder Marty Murchison (right) is worth $25,000. Their $479,000, three-bedroom house will be built by Murchison Homes, and the couple have been told it will be ready early June 2020. This young couple won't have to sign anyone up.
