Canterbury Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew members were able to get Kayde Anderson out of the car, but were not able to resuscitate him. A rural Canterbury community has been hit "particularly hard" by a 9-year-old local boy's death in a flooded river, a Selwyn District councillor says.
