Residents complain of violence in Ugenya by-electionsUgenya constituency returning officer Vincent Saitabau has warned Ugenya candidates in the by-election against any form of political violence before and during elections. Earlier Ugenya residents had complained of political violence in the area meted upon them accusing supporters from the four candidates of harassment. The Ugenya Deputy County Commissioner Pamela Otieno said one person has been arraigned in court over elections malpractice. The deputy county commissioner disclosed that they are going to conduct meetings with candidates and enlighten them on dangers of violence in elections. She said they will not allow any violence in Ugenya as they understand why the Ugenya constituency election results had to be dismissed.
