Heartwarming donations from strangers mean expensive facial surgery is now possible for a young woman who has survived a brutal 18-year cancer journey. Ms Kremers, who was diagnosed with a devastating facial tumour at seven, underwent failed surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment as her life-threatening tumour grew and pushed her jaw out. Eventually a surgeon was found to remove the cancer caused by an alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. The prosthetic is vital to be able to help Ms Kremers eat a normal diet - not just 'soft pureed food'. The student, who is studying to be a youth worker, also finds time to be an inspiring leader for CanTeen, the cancer charity.
