Cancer Society supportive care nurse, Vicki Dranguet, says her job involves supporting clients as they go through a cancer diagnosis. Fortunately, while cancer didn't stop, neither did the support offered by the Cancer Society, who quickly adapted the way they worked to provide uninterrupted support for Kiwis affected by cancer. Lockdown meant the local Cancer Society nurse couldn't visit Nory in person, but instead frequently checked in by phone. "If you have a cancer diagnosis, we'd love to hear from you and see how we can help." Nory Estal says knowing the Cancer Society was there for her got her through some very tough moments.
