The National Land Commission has refuted claims that it revoked title deeds issued by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Kwale's Golini settlement scheme. It was reported that chairman Muhamad Swazuri revoked titles that were erroneously issued to non-locals when the parcels of land were occupied. In a statement on Thursday, Swazuri said the allotment letters were not issued by Uhuru but were of those issued in 1977. "Letters issued to the foreigners are null and void since they did not qualify to be allocated land," he said.
