The Canadiens had the day off Sunday, but GM Marc Bergevin made a couple of roster moves. Forward Kenny Agostino was placed on NHL waivers and defenceman Karl Alzner was assigned to the AHL’s Laval Rocket after clearing waivers. Agostino played 36 games with the Canadiens since getting called up from the Rocket, posting 2-9-11 totals and a minus-1. Alzner is in the second season of a five-year, US$23.125-million contract with an annual salary-cap hit of $4.625 million. The 30-year-old is earning $6 million this season, but has only played in nine games with the Canadiens, with no goals and one assist.
