Louis Oosthuizen set a major record, and two Canadians are in the mix heading into the weekend at the Open Championship. Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes are outside that mark, but inside the top 20 heading into the weekend. Conners has shot two straight rounds of 2-under 68 and was one back of Hughes, tied for 17th. Hughes said he simply didn’t have the same control of the golf ball as in Thursday’s opener. “Yesterday I was in complete control of my swing and golf ball and (it) was pretty low stress,” said Hughes.
