▶ Immigration Minister Ahmed Hussen says Canadian dual citizens and permanent residents are not subject to a U.S. travel ban. Ottawa moved to clear up some of the confusion surrounding the ban by announcing that Canadian citizens and permanent residents with roots in those countries can still cross the border. In Ottawa on Sunday, Hussen stuck to espousing the virtues of Canada’s refugee and immigration system, rather than addressing Trump’s ban directly. Premiers from across the country have also offered the federal government their assistance in dealing with the fallout from the travel ban. Early suggestions, however, are that few people appeared to be trapped in Canada as a result of the travel ban.
