HALIFAX—A Canadian military plane in Nova Scotia was forced to stay grounded Monday night after a laser was allegedly shone into the cockpit. According to the RCMP, a Canadian Armed Forces pilot of a CC-130 Hercules aircraft had to abort the flight around 9 p.m. while the plane was still on the taxiway due to the laser incident. Police in Nova Scotia say a CC-130 Hercules aircraft, shown here in this 2011 photo, was forced to abort a flight after a laser was shone into the cockpit of the plane. “Lasers present a serious risk to aviation. They can impair the pilots’ vision, therefore putting at risk the lives of all occupants and people on the ground,” Lt.-Col. Bruno Baker said in a statement released Tuesday.
