Canadian bobsled driver Chris Spring finds the Pyeongchang track can get in your head

PYEONGCHANG — Chris Spring has just piloted his bobsled to a couple of top-four times in training runs at the Olympic Sliding Centre, which means the inevitable how-do-you-feel question should be a layup. But then, an honesty bomb: “My corner two is struggling right now, I’ve had some good days and some bad days,” he said. “That second run right now, I blew up the world pretty bad in the exit at two there.”Corner two, it sounds like, is in his kitchen. You have no idea what goes through this head of mine.”Spring will drive one of three Canadian two-man sleds in Pyeongchang, along with Justin Kripps and Nick Poloniato. “I’ve often said that I don’t need a medal, I want a medal,” Spring said.
