Canadian Armed Forces member charged after allegedly being found with cocaine

PETAWAWA, ONT.—The military says a member of the armed forces in Petawawa, Ont., has been charged with drug possession. The Canadian Forces National Investigation Service says the investigation began in December of last year, when the accused was training at CFB Borden. It says the accused was arrested in January after 3.5 grams of cocaine were found in his pocket during a traffic stop at the base. Aviator Kyle Gero, a member of 2 Service Battalion based at 4th Canadian Division Support Base Petawawa, was charged Friday.
