Canada have been confirmed as the 20th and final team for next year's Rugby World Cup, and will take their place alongside the All Blacks in pool play at next year's tournament. On Saturday morning (NZ time) the Canucks beat Hong Kong 27-10 in the final round of the repechage event in Marseille, France, to book their place at the global showpiece, having also made it to each of the previous eight editions of the tournament. The world No 21 were made to playoff in a four-team tournament against Hong Kong (world No 22), Germany (No 28) and Kenya (No 30), having lost series to the USA and Uruguay. CLAUDE PARIS/AP Canada's DTH van der Merwe scored two tries to help his team defeat Hong Kong and make it to the World Cup. After seeing off Kenya 65-19 a fortnight back and then Germany 29-10 last weekend, Canada then completed their task with a three tries to one victory in wet conditions.
