Appreciating Bangladesh for hosting around 1.1 million Rohingyas, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland has said that her country also wants an early solution to the crisis. “Canada will remain beside Bangladesh over the Rohingya issue … Canada wants an early solution to the problem and quick repatriation of the Rohingyas to their homeland,” she told Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday after the inaugural program of the 45th OIC-CFM. Chrystia Freeland said Canada was ready to help Bangladesh on the Rohingya issue. The prime minister said Bangladesh was in talks with Myanmar, and an agreement had been inked. Freeland said she would convey the message to the Canadian prime minister.
