Canada Day is a great day to celebrate together with family and friends, no matter what part of the country you are from. But this Canada Day was significant and exceptional for some individuals in the community. Rana El Mansour was among 30 individuals to receive their Canadian citizenship on Canada Day at the Woodside National Historical site in Kitchener. Immigrants in the Kitchener-Waterloo area taking their Oath of Citizenship before they receive their Canadian citizenship. Not only were they celebrating Canada Day, but they were also celebrating becoming new Canadian citizens.
