OTTAWA—Canada said Friday the U.S. had presented enough evidence to proceed with the extradition hearing for a Huawei Technologies Co. top executive, clearing the way for a case at the center of tensions between the U.S., China and Canada. The decision comes in response to a formal request from the U.S. in late January for the extradition of Meng Wanzhou, Huawei’s chief financial officer. U.S. prosecutors have accused Ms. Meng and Huawei of violating U.S. sanctions on Iran.
