Avengers: Infinity War director Joe Russo has ambitious plans for the long awaited appearance of Thanos as the Marvel universe’s big bad. Look, I wanted to turn Thanos into Darth Vader for a new generation. Darth Vader remains the infamous face of evil, even after George Lucas unmasked him and gave him a bowl cut. But it’s difficult to translate aging comic book characters to the big screen, and Thanos made his first appearance back in the seventies. Thankfully, he’s lost his helmet and disco shoulder pads on his way to Infinity War.
