And, it's possible they lied to Brazilian authorities, which is, and should be, a crime. Still, Rio authorities should not prosecute this case. As of this writing, Lochte is in the States, but other swimmers are in Brazil. In Brazil, false communication of a crime carries a maximum sentence of three years in jail. Still, it's not likely that the United States will extradite Lochte to Brazil.
