Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall wears dress with exotic birds to open British Flowers Week festival

Camilla, 73, held a pink bouquet of flowers containing rosemary, a sign of remembrance, while touring the annual British Flowers Week festival, in collaboration with New Covent Garden Flower Market. The royal, looking elegant in a vibrant blue, summer frock with an exotic bird print, spoke about her love of flowers and 'passion' for arranging them. As she was presented with the bouquet, she commented about Philip and her own late father, Major Bruce Shand, who died on June 11 2006, aged 89. Giving a brief speech, Camilla said: 'I'd really like to thank all of you who grow, plant and decorate places with flowers. The displays created by five of Britain's top florists – Cyrill Tronchet, Hazel Gardiner, JamJar Flowers, Simon Lycett and Tattie Rose – showcase the unique seasonal quality of British flowers.
