In late June, the regulator revoked Camair-Co’s European traffic rights citing the airline’s “state of unpreparedness ahead of a major audit” with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) regarding its Third Country Operator (TCO) authorization. It then revoked Camair-Co’s permission to serve Europe. Camair-Co last served Paris CDG – its only European destination – back on June 24. Until the return of its sole widebody aircraft, aB767-300(ER), following nearly eight months of maintenance atAddis Ababa, the Paris route was serviced using one of Camair-Co’s two B737-700s.
