Cameron Highlands cops testing one-way traffic system - Nation

IPOH: A new one-way traffic system will be implemented during the school holidays at the end of this month to ease traffic congestion. Testing by the Cameron Highlands police will start this Friday. District police chief Deputy Supt Hasadid A. Hamid (pic) said the one-way traffic flow would be introduced at two major spots – at KM64 heading towards Brinchang and KM65 in front of the district police station heading towards Tanah Rata. “We will be dispatching three officers to assist the flow of traffic and motorists are advised to follow the road signs that will be put up. “We’re also trying to provide more parking spaces during the peak holiday seasons,” DSP Hasadid said yesterday, adding that the old system was found to be inefficient.
