It’s early 2020, and former Niagara Falls resident Emily Stranges is starting to live her childhood dream of being an actress. “It was an amalgamation of things that kept me very sharp, in a way,” says Stranges, who attended both St. Paul and St. Michael high school in the falls. While the legion of made-for-TV Hallmark movies have never been highly regarded, Stranges says they’re invaluable experience for young performers like herself. If that wasn’t enough, Stranges is also doing voicework for the Teletoon/Netflix animated series “Bakugan: Evolutions,” which returns next year. When she was three years old, Stranges pointed at the TV and told her parents that’s what she wanted to do.
