A Kiwi industrial designer has privacy concerns after a gantry, complete with a 360-degree traffic camera, has been positioned directly outside his house. The dynamic lane control system uses LED lights embedded into the road surface to mark traffic lanes instead of painted lines. The dynamic lane trial will run for a year along Whangaparaoa Road in the area between Hibiscus Coast Highway and Red Beach Road. However, this didn't take away the perception of being watched in his home brought on by having a camera looking through the window, he said.
