The Cambridge United midfielder spoke about her battle with mental health issues, and how she has used her experiences to help others suffering from depression. Ruth was first diagnosed with depression at the age of just 14. "When I play football, I become the person that I want to be in real life - I become a leader. "For 90 minutes a week, I can forget about everything that is going on in my head."
