Calls for unity after divisive medical trust stoushIan Riddler at the High Country Medical Trust AGM in TwizelThere have been calls for the Twizel community to unite and look to the future following months of discord over the town's medical centre. The annual meeting of the High Country Medical Trust became heated on Monday night, with hundreds of people turning out to cast their votes for two new trustees. The trust owns the medical centre, and is responsible for fundraising and the maintenance of the building. The medical centre board is responsible for the day-to-day running of the centre. Trust chairman Simon Williamson said it would be business as usual for the trust, and it would be making sure the medical centre was "running smoothly".
