The Epic Flash driver and its Flash Face technology, which features dozens of asymmetrical internal ripples in the face that seem to have no logical pattern whatsoever in size, height and configuration. By comparison, a new driver face design usually takes eight to 10 iterations. The retail price for the Epic Flash will be $529.99 when it hits stores on Feb. 1. It’s yielded a face design that was a lot more complicated to manufacture than any that we had before. It’s a flash point of sorts for equipment design, club face design in particular.
