Crystal Fricke says she was just doing her job when shesaved a life last week at the William Woods University pool. Fricke, a twenty year old lifeguard at thepool, was presented with a medal and certificate of heroism by the Callaway County YMCA Board ofDirectors. After being pulled from the pool, Wang had no pulse and wasn't breathing. Fricke talked in a calm voice to Wang who wastaken to Callaway Community Hospital and from there taken by helicopter to the University MedicalCenter. Fricke has been a lifeguard for two years, is certified to teach CPRand has her Water Safety Instructor's certificate.
