Proposals to upgrade the main regional route east-west across the south of the county are being considered by the Baltinglass Municipal District. Dermot Graham, Senior Executive Engineer, said there were plans to do more work on the road, subject to funding. Mr Graham also told councillors that an application had been made for line markings on sections of the Wicklow Gap road and the Coolattin Road. Mr Graham noted that the proposal covers sections of the road in the Baltinglass and Wicklow Municipal Districts. Cllr Mullen also asked for an update on road safety works in Knockananna, noting that 'certain commitments' had been made to the local community.
