A group of about 150 of California's largest political donors will urge Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday to choose a woman of color to fill the Senate seat vacancy left behind by Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris, according a report by Vox. “Women of color are the core drivers of electoral progress in our country, and their voices should be heard in the nation’s highest governing body," the letter continues. Representatives for Gov. Newsom, Electing Women Bay Area and the Los Angeles Women’s Collective did not immediately return Fox News request for comment.
