Circuit Court of Appeals cleared the way just before the start of the new year for a California law that will ban the legal carrying of guns in many public places. The law is set to go into effect today (January 1). The court suspended the injunction imposed on the law by a lower court judge who determined the new law violated the Second Amendment rights of citizens in the state. “This ruling will allow California’s common-sense gun laws to remain in place while we appeal the district court’s dangerous ruling,” he said. No doubt this isn’t the last the courts will be reviewing this case, as it could well wind up in front of the Supreme Court as well.
