Throughout the country, college athletes continue to seek greater personal freedoms. However, twenty-two years ago today, the NCAA won a major legal victory that that limited college athletes' privacy rights, especially in the area of drug testing. Today, drug testing in college sports is commonplace. Nevertheless, if college football players were to successfully unionize, drug testing would become subject to collective bargaining negotiations between athletes and their employers.
