CALGARY—A Calgary-based artificial intelligence startup is in the finals for a $100,000 pitch competition hosted in San Jose, California, next month. The startup, chata.ai, is one of 10 companies slated to present at the Intuit $100,000 Small Business App Showdown next November. Five months ago that chata.ai went commercial, it currently employs 25 employees and said it’s never gotten this kind of recognition before. A Calgary-based startup is among 10 finalists competing for a $100,000 pitch prize in California next month. Because if we have a thriving tech sector here, it could really change the landscape in Calgary,” Viccars said.
