A 42-year-old man faces voyeurism charges in connection with a notorious social media account responsible for posting inappropriate photos of Calgary women. Calgary police sources told Postmedia Wednesday afternoon that investigators have arrested a suspect in connection with the CanadaCreep Twitter account — widely criticized for posting lewd and unsolicited photos and videos of women, including a video of at least one under-aged girl. Outrage over the account lit up social media online late Monday, prompting both victims and outraged Calgarians to call for action against the person responsible. Before being shut down by Twitter early Tuesday morning, the account appears to have been active for at least a year, amassing more than 17,000 followers. In April, Mounties laid voyeurism charges against former Airdrie resident 45-year-old Troy Scott Young for allegedly posting explicit photos of women on the Internet.
