Calgary man charged with murder of Saskatchewan man visiting city


CALGARY—Police have laid a murder charge in the death of a Saskatchewan man whose body was discovered north of Calgary. Sheldon Wolf of Carrot River, Sask., was visiting Calgary and was last seen leaving a hotel in the city on Feb. 2. Police say evidence connected to the case was found in Elliston Park in Calgary’s east end, and a search of the park was conducted on Tuesday. The 47-year-old’s body was located later that day in a rural area north of the bedroom community of Airdrie, and an autopsy determined his death was a homicideFayiah (Victor) Briama, 23, of Calgary, has been charged with first-degree murder and will appear in court on Monday.
