CALGARY—Calgarians will be allowed to keep farm animals in their city homes as emotional support animals next year — with strings attached. City council approved an amendment to the Responsible Pet Ownership bylaw to open the barn door Monday, with only Ward 4 Councillor Sean Chu opposed. Ward 3 Councillor Jyoti Gondek originally brought the possibility of emotional support livestock to city council in February. Emotional support livestock would not be allowed in public spaces.
