Calgary Stampeders run unbeaten streak to 11 games with wire-to-wire home win over Ottawa Redblacks


The Calgary Stampeders (10-1-1) dominated early and often, finding the end zone on their first three drives to run the Ottawa Redblacks (5-5-1) out of McMahon Stadium with a 48-23 beatdown. Stampeders quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell said it was important to jump on the Redblacks early. Redblacks slotback Ernest Jackson got behind the Stampeders’ secondary for a 36-yard touchdown. Redblacks slotback Greg Ellingson snagged a four-yard touchdown dart from Trevor Harris on the final play of the third quarter to pull the visitors to within 10 at 30-20. Calgary kicker Rene Paredes hit both of his field goals on the day to round out the scoring.
