None of the news outlets that helped spread suspicion about Russian Twitter trolls helping Trump win the 2016 U.S. election is owning up to their hype or catching any flak. But the study did not find that Russian trolls had “little influence” over the election; it failed to find any measurable influence at all. Will the Washington Post address the countless stories they wrote hyping Russian influence on the 2016 race? Twitter is a great window through which to observe Western journalists, because they really lay it all out there. The Western media class is a cloistered circle that doesn’t care about creating an informed populace or holding the powerful to account.
