President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Thursday with Libyan tribes’ leaders and notables, representing the spectrum of the Libyan people from across the country.- Press photoCAIRO 27 September 2020: Cairo will host a massive conference for Inter-Libyan reconciliation in October, with the participation of dozens of Libyan personalities and tribal sheikhs, Youm7 reported Hassan Al-Mabrouk, a member of the preparatory committee for the Libyan national reconciliation conference on Saturday. He affirmed that national reconciliation can only take place through the immediate release of prisoners and detainees, and the return of the displaced and refugees with compensating them. Mabrouk also called upon Saif Al-Islam Muammar Gaddafi and other Libyan leaders to lead the comprehensive national reconciliation. Their visit comes within the framework of the moves led by Cairo to discuss the current developments in Libya. Egypt is adopting a strategy of opening up to all Libyan parties supporting a political solution, as part of its support for efforts to defuse the crisis in the country.
